
Gail Gaddie
Rev. Gail Gaddie, a native Memphian and lifelong United Methodist,
is serving as pastor to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in
Memphis. Prior to that, she served for eight years as the pastor of
Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church (UMC) in Jackson, Tennessee.
Rev. Gaddie began her ministry as a pastor at Mason and Braden, TN
serving churches in Fayette and Tipton Counties for five years.
She
is a graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity
degree. Gail also earned a Master of Science in Education from the
University of Mississippi. Prior to entering the ordained ministry,
Gail taught high school English in Tennessee and Kentucky. She also
worked in prevention and recovery of alcohol and drugs with the Jackson
Area Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency and Parkwood Hospital in
Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Gail is a clergy delegate to
General Conference in the UMC. That body meets every four years. This
year it will meet in Fort Worth, Texas, in April. She serves on the
Board of Ordained Ministry for the Asbury District in the Memphis
Conference. In Jackson, Gail was active in the community as a part of
the Jackson Area Ministers’ Association and on the board of Disaster
Recovery Services for tornado damage in Madison County.
Gail
and her husband Bill, who is a retired United Methodist minister and
also a graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary, have a blended family
that includes eight children and fourteen grandchildren.
